If you’ve been dominating mini-golf courses around the country and are ready to take the next step, your (PR) moment has finally arrived.

Whether you fancy yourself as the next Rory McIlroy, Nelly Korda or just love Happy Gilmore – PRmoment invites you to putt your best foot forward at The PR Golf Day, 2025.

Headed up by enthusiastic – yet decidedly average – golfers Nick Braund, founder of Words + Pixels and Sam Dibley, co-founder of The Ripple Effect, the day boasts a lighthearted 18 hole game and is open to PRs from both agencyland and in-house.

Non-competitive (for most), this year’s event will take place at Royal Ascot Golf Club on Friday 11th July.

The course

RAGC is a modern golf course built in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Established and named by Queen Victoria in 1887, it was originally positioned on Ascot Heath in the centre of the famous racetrack.

Now in its new position on the southwest corner of Windsor Great Park, the course features a great mix of Par 3s, 4s and 5s with challenging twists and turns throughout, from ‘bye, bye ball’ protected nature zones, inconveniently placed ponds and ‘will I ever get out of here?!’ bunkers, ending with a long 531 yard Par 5, heading back up to the modern clubhouse with wraparound sun terrace, perfect for a post-round beverage.

Who can attend

The day is open to anyone, of any ability – and there’s no need to have a handicap: it’s a perfect way to ruin a good walk whilst you connect with industry peers.

The agenda

When: Friday 11 July, 2025

Where: Royal Ascot Golf Club

Registration, networking and snacks: 12 noon, onwards

First tee: 13.30

Group size: 4 people per team

The price

The cost is £90 (reduced from last year’s price of £133) and includes green fees, pre-round rolls and coffees. Official merchandise and trophies for the top three golfers of the day are also thrown in, plus a special prize for last place.

At least £60 of each player’s fee will be divided between The Ripple Effect’s two charity partners, to be announced closer to the date.

Additional prizes are up for grabs for Longest Drive & Closest to the Pin. Beat the Pro for Charity is on the 1st for another shot at winning.

For those who like to lose a box of balls each round, mulligan vouchers (retake your shot with no penalty) will also be available to purchase at £5 each, with proceeds to charity.

Want to attend?

If you’d like to take part, contact Sam (SD@therippleffect.agency) and Nick (nick@wordsandpixels.co) to register. Spaces are limited and on a first come, first served basis.
