The in-house PR league

Welcome back to The PR League! It won’t have escaped many people’s notice that there are quite a few awards in UK public relations and communications. And make no mistake – the biggest awards are hard to win. Really hard. And they are worth winning – they can make careers, win agencies new business and do wonders for your team’s profile. They are also a great way of benchmarking your work. You might think you’re doing brilliant stuff – but are you? Comparing your work against your peers and being judged by the best in the business is a great way to find out.

So we believe awards are a good and positive thing. Some organisations seem to have numerous award schemes but you’ll notice at PRmoment we have one awards – The PRmoment Awards.

Below is a league table which very simply awards 3 points for a win and 1 point if you are shortlisted. The awards included in The PR League are The 2017 PRmoment Awards, The 2017 PRWeek Awards, The 2016 PRCA Awards (national), The 2017 CIPR Awards (national) and The 2016 Corp Comms Awards. As the 2017 awards season continues, the 2017 scores will replace the 2016 numbers. Each award scheme will be updated after that awards scheme has taken place.

Please note, in the past some people have asked why we haven’t included the Sabre Awards in the PR League. It’s nothing against Arun and Paul, and without even touching on Brexit, it’s just that this is a UK League and the Sabres are a European-wide awards scheme. They also have lots of categories and frankly this is a big enough project as it is!

Please be aware we have highlighted the top 40 agencies and the top 22 in-house PR teams in The PR League, clearly there are lots of perfectly good PR firms and PR teams who have not made it onto this table, this is simply because they didn’t win or get shortlisted in enough of the awards listed above.
