The PRCA Award Winners

PRmoment had the pleasure of attending the PRCA awards last night. We had a lovely time. Fortunately the air con at the Hilton on Park Lane wasn't working so I managed to lose a couple of stone whilst eating some duck and quaffing champagne. On the down side I happened to be sitting a little too near a chap who instead of clapping, banged the table simultaneously with 2 spoons. Not ideal. The best bit of news was Rufus Hound. Excuse my naivety but I’d never heard of the bloke. He was brilliant. I haven’t been so well entertained at a PR do since Stephen Fry did the PRWeek Awards a few years back. Rufus was funny, gave PR people a hard time and pushed the boundaries of bad taste just enough to keep the audience’s attention. Below is a list of the winners. As the PRCA now hope to attract in house and agency people, this list is almost unbelievably long, and I’d suggest a few less award categories in future years. But, that said, well done to all the winners and to the PRCA for putting on a great evening.  AGENCY HEAD OF THE YEAR WINNER: CAROLINE KINSEY - Cirkle ________________________________________ IN-HOUSE PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR WINNER: JOLIE HUNT - Thomson Reuters ________________________________________ PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR WINNER: DAVID GALLAGHER - Ketchum Pleon ________________________________________ CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR AWARD CONSULTANCY WINNER: LAUNCH GROUP: Walt Disney World Twinned Town IN-HOUSE WINNER: WESTMINSTER CITY COUNCIL: Every Older Person Matters ________________________________________ IN-HOUSE TEAM OF THE YEAR WINNER: NHS GLASGOW AND CLYDE CONSULTANCY OF THE YEAR SMALL CONSULTANCY OF THE YEAR WINNER: JOHN DOE COMMUNICATIONS LTD MEDIUM CONSULTANCY OF THE YEAR WINNER: 3 MONKEYS COMMUNICATIONS LARGE CONSULTANCY OF THE YEAR WINNER: LANSONS COMMUNICATIONS FINANCIAL AWARD CONSULTANCY WINNER: LANSONS COMMUNICATIONS: Launching J.P.Morgan Brazil Investment Trust to direct  IN-HOUSE WINNER: SANTANDER UK PLC: Ignite - launching Santander in the UK HEALTHCARE & PHARMACEUTICAL AWARD CONSULTANCY WINNER: ASH HEALTHCARE: Olmetec on Trial IN-HOUSE WINNER: UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS BIRMINGHAM NHS FOUNDATION TRUST: From Bad Press to BAFTA Success NEW MEDIA, DIGITAL & BROADCAST AWARD HIGHLY COMMENDED AWARDED TO HISTORIC ROYAL PALACES: Enchanted Palace: Wild Boys, bloggers and Palace Hilton CONSULTANCY WINNER: LAUNCH GROUP: Walt Disney World Twinned Town IN-HOUSE WINNER: NHS LEICESTER CITY: Teenage Kicks MEDIA RELATIONS AWARD HIGHLY COMMENDED AWARDED TO FRANK PR: Alton Towers Resort- Launch of Thirteen CONSULTANCY WINNER:COLMAN GETTY CONSULTANCY: The Lost Man Booker Prize IN-HOUSE WINNER: RACING ENTERPRISES LIMITED: Racing For Change: ‘Go Racing For Free Week' INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AWARD CONSULTANCY WINNER: KETCHUM PLEON: The Secret Is Out: Positioning KFC as an Employer of Choice IN-HOUSE WINNER: KCOM GROUP: Focus On Pensions - Acting Today to Protect Tomorrow PUBLIC AFFAIRS AWARD HIGHLY COMMENDED AWARDED TO THE F.I.A.
