With a PR awards calendar more crowded than the Northern Line on Monday, PRmoment is delighted that one of the most amusing award efforts of the year is purely online, and therefore your backside need never leave the chair.
The CRAPPs (The Communicative Relations Awards for PR Professionals) aims to celebrate the often-contentious ‘special relationship’ PRs and journalists share – basically, providing a reason for banter between the two camps.
Categories include the aptly titled ‘journalist most likely to tell you to sling your hook’ award, the ‘least Twattish Twitterer – the must-follow journo’ and the ‘journalist you’d most like to bring to the dark side (employ as a PR)’.
The awards seem to have gone down a treat in their first year with, PRmoment is told, ‘thousands and thousands’ of votes cast and mentions on The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and Press Gazette to name a few.
The winners will be announced Wednesday morning, meaning PRs only have one day left in which to vote for their favourite members of the online and offline media.
All the finalists can be seen and voted for at http://www.thecrapps.com/ but you'll need to get a move on because voting closes on Tuesday 14th December. You’ll also find The CRAPPs on Twitter @theCRAPPs, too.
