PR & Content Manager - AerFin

Our continued expansion means that the role will be initially based in Caerphilly, relocating to our state-of-the-art HQ in Newport by end of the year.

About The Role

We are seeking a talented and creative PR & Content Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our PR & content strategy, creating captivating content that tells our brand story and resonates with our key audiences, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and quality.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations and Strategy to create and distribute high-quality content across various online and offline channels. You will be responsible for managing our PR & content calendar and writing all marketing content – from thought leadership articles and press releases to social media posts, case studies, website copy and email marketing campaigns.

You will engage AerFin’s media contacts to build the brand as a trusted industry source, gaining traction and coverage to compliment the business strategy, developing relationships with key industry journalists, managing enquiries and supporting crisis communications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies that align with business goals and targets the needs of our audiences.
  • Develop processes to story mine within the business, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage our PR & content calendar to ensure the regular creation of content across all core channels, including the management of social media posts on our scheduling tool.
  • Write and optimise a range of engaging content, performing keyword research to improve organic search visibility, including: blog posts, website copy, social media posts, case studies, and email campaigns.
  • Develop and implement a thought leadership content program to help position AerFin as an industry expert on key topics and drive leadership visibility.
  • Coordinate and oversee photoshoots and video shoots and collaborate with external agencies and partners to develop creative and on-brand assets.
  • Work with translation agencies to source translated content for regional audiences.
  • Provide regular reporting and analytics to measure content performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor content strategies to ensure our content remains relevant and impactful.
  • Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns that promote our brand and increase media coverage, aligned with company objectives.
  • Draft press releases and manage media relations, including key briefings, to secure coverage in relevant publications and platforms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media placements and coverage.
  • Evaluate PR campaigns through metrics such as media mentions and sentiment.
  • Implement and oversee robust crisis management process.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a PR / content / writing role.
  • Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field preferable but not essential.
  • Passionate about the aviation industry. Industry experience is preferable but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable success in planning and executing successful PR campaigns.
  • Experience with media relations, including pitching stories and securing coverage.
  • Proven experience in content strategy development and implementation.
  • Experience in social media scheduling tools is preferable (i.e. Hootsuite).
  • Strong understanding of content marketing principles and best practices.
  • Creative and detail-oriented with strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
