The Role:

What you'll be doing

Strategic PR Leadership & Agency Management:

  • Build and develop a comprehensive PR strategy for Explore Learning, aligning communications efforts with the company’s overarching business goals, brand vision, and market positioning.
  • Oversee and manage the external PR agency relationship, ensuring strategic alignment and excellence in execution. Act as the primary liaison, driving collaboration and ensuring that all initiatives support key business objectives.
  • Define and measure KPIs for PR activities, regularly assessing the effectiveness of campaigns and media placements, and providing executive leadership with insights and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance to the executive team and other departments on PR best practices, media opportunities, and overall communication strategy.
  • Crisis Management: Lead the crisis communications strategy, ensuring that Explore Learning is prepared for any reputation management challenges. Act swiftly and decisively to mitigate issues, protect the company’s image, and maintain stakeholder trust. Additionally, oversee internal communications during a crisis, ensuring employees are informed, reassured, and aligned with the company's response strategy.

Thought Leadership and Brand Building:

  • Shape and elevate the public profile of Explore Learning’s CEO and Senior Leadership Team, positioning them as authoritative voices in the Education and Edtech sectors through strategic thought leadership initiatives and social media.
  • Direct the content creation process for high-level thought leadership pieces, including articles, speeches, and media interviews

Event and Award Strategy:

  • Lead the strategy for high-visibility events, including industry conferences, speaking engagements, and awards.
  • Craft keynote speeches and presentations for the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Manage and oversee the award submission process, identifying key opportunities for Explore Learning to be recognised for its industry leadership, innovation, and impact.

Internal Communications and events:

  • Develop and implement a robust internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment between internal and external messaging while keeping employees informed and engaged with company initiatives, goals, and achievements.
  • Support with large staff events.

Logistics

Role: Full time - permanent contract

Salary: circa £38,000

Location: Remote, with occasional travel for meetings and site visits
