Here at Home Bargains, we have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Manager to join our team. This is a brand-new role, giving you the chance to shape it from the ground up and make a real impact as we continue to grow. With ambitious plans to open up to 50 new stores this year alone on our journey to reaching 1,000 stores!
As our Communications Manager, you’ll be at the heart of creating and delivering engaging, strategic communication across the business. You’ll oversee internal and external communication channels, ensuring a consistent tone of voice and style that reflects our brand. You’ll work closely with key teams across Retail, Customer Service, Logistics, Buying, and the People Team, while also building relationships with external providers and stakeholders.
Job Overview
- Developing effective internal and external communication strategies.
- Managing internal communications via our YOOBIC application.
- Drafting content such as press releases and website updates.
- Setting the tone and style for internal communications and customer interactions.
- Fostering relationships with advocates, key persons, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with our social media and press teams.
- Assisting senior leadership with strategic communication
Minimum Criteria To Apply
- Proven experience as a communications specialist.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills.
- A solid understanding of project management principles.
- Working knowledge of MS Office; experience with photo or video-editing software is a plus.
- Experience in web design or content production (advantageous but not essential).
