ModusBPCM is a leading communications agency, offering a range of services from consultancy and strategy through to pr and events, digital and content creation. Our primary function is to create, raise and extend the awareness around our clients' brands, identifying and utilising a strategic mix of communication channels to effectively reach their target audience.
ModusBPCM is seeking an Account Executive to work closely with senior team members to support the team in securing optimum results and coverage across the client portfolio.
This role acts as critical day-to-day account support. Being detail-oriented and organised is essential, as is the ability to take ownership of all reactive enquiries and respond to media in a timely manner. Executives need to consistently meet deadlines, complete administrative tasks to a high standard, and demonstrate competent writing and reporting abilities.
ModusBPCM's burgeoning lifestyle division encompasses a range of travel, wine & spirit and lifestyle clients. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an active personal interests in travel and culture.
Please note:
This role is based at our London (UK) office on a hybrid basis, requiring a minimum attendance of 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
As an Account Executive at ModusBPCM your responsibilities will include, without being limited to, the following:
Client Management & Relations:
- To own media monitoring and coverage reports for clients
- To feed and own client and internal reporting for clients
- To create draft agendas for internal and client meetings
- To produce minutes in a timely manner following both internal and client meetings
- Maintain an awareness of and work towards agreed KPIs
- To understand budgetary requirements and cost control
Public Relations:
- Ownership of reactive PR enquiries, optimising appropriate opportunities and ensuring images and other assets are received by media in a timely manner
- To create and maintain appropriate press lists
- To own and send image requests and fact boxes to media
- Conduct weekly research to identify fresh media and KOL contacts and columns
- To support senior team members with daily media and KOL outreach and liaison
- To ensure that press coverage is sourced and sent to clients in a timely manner
- To draft considered, factual and professional emails to media, for senior sign-off where appropriate
- To assist with asset creation including regular drafting of media pitches and press releases
- To maintain an awareness of broader industry trends, identifying forthcoming feature ideas through media contact and broad media consumption
- To work collaboratively with other divisions to support on creation of comprehensive media target lists around seasonal moments or trends (e.g. Christmas, Mother's Day)
- To support company-wide brainstorms as and when required
- Ownership of client assets - keep company drives and servers tidy - images, press releases, logos, biographies
- To regularly identify new talent & industry contacts
- To understand company delivery processes and be able to coordinate deliveries
- To maintain and develop relationships with key media and KOLs to help in securing coverage
- To secure media and KOLs for hosting opportunities across the travel portfolio, managing stay details, itineraries and travel arrangements acting as the liaison between client and media/KOL
- Strong understanding of the media landscape to provide a considered recommendation to the wider team and clients
Events:
- To support on strategic client events
- Work with the team to create media/ambassador/VIP invitee lists
- To support on creation of project-aligned media and influencer strategies, supporting execution to ensure project-specific KPIs are met
- Attend client and industry events
Team Management:
- Meet regularly with your team to discuss strategy, opportunities, and relay achievements and areas of concern
- Able to prioritise and set realistic tasks and timeframes for yourself, raising queries with your senior team and asking for support where required
- Attend team meetings and action tasks set in a timely manner
- To ensure that you discharge your duties in a responsible, timely and professional manner, in particular to ensure that all admin is achieved
- To manage and mentor junior staff, with senior support - supporting supervision of Account Assistants to ensure high performance in key areas including clippings, media database management and client reporting
- To ensure you meet company and client deadlines, highlighting any issues in achieving these and reporting upwards to your AM and AD(s) in a timely manner
- Responsible for AA duties when they are out of office
- Build relationships with AEs in other divisions (Fashion, Beauty, Digital) to ensure supportive and integrated approach to media and digital activations
Finance:
- Awareness of expenses and budgets
- Awareness of how to use cost-effective services to increase revenue e.g. Multi-drop courier services
- Report up and raise issues/find solutions
General:
- To attain and maintain the requisite IT skills to efficiently utilise the company's hardware and software packages
- To adhere to the company's code of contact and systems, as set out in the company handbook
- To implement company practice
- To ensure you maintain your workspace to an appropriate standard
- To review publications and share relevant AOIs with the company
- Ensure use of company templates & guidelines provided
- To update & maintain third party suppliers lists
- To stay informed & pass on news of new businesses, launches across the industry

Technical Know-How & Qualifications
Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Drive, iCloud required
Knowledge of Roxhill/ other media management platforms desirable.

The anticipated salary range for this position is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum. Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
